It doesn’t matter if the crime occurs in a “health-care” bill or a “tax” bill.

Once again, the GOP is trying to kill the ACA by removing the mandate.

What they’re actually doing is killing Americans.

Removing access to health insurance for 13,000,000 Americans will cause people to die unnecessarily in a country which is touted as having the “best health care in the world”.

If the mere transfer of money from the poor and middle-class to the wealthiest of our society is corrupt and immoral, then the actual killing of us is should be described as criminal.

Ask for what we want! Every day. Over and over.

Minimal Script for a Democratic Legislator: 

I’m calling from [zip code] and I want to thank Senator [Harris/Feinstein] for opposing the Senate GOP tax bill.

We never asked for a tax cut. Are you ready to write things down?

What we want is accessible, comprehensive and affordable health care, protection of our social safety nets like Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security, investment in our schools and public infrastructure, affordable higher education for all, and protection of our air, water and natural resources. (Add on anything thing else we missed!)

Why we Need to Help our Sister District, CA-25, – and how YOU can Help!

We Venturans can’t vote Knight out, but we can help our neighbors and friends in Simi Valley and Santa Clarita rid themselves of him – and help ourselves by removing one of the 24 Trump minions needed to turn the House blue!

Let us count the ways Steve Knight has betrayed us: He votes with Trump 98% of the time. He voted against our healthcare. He voted for the #TrumpTaxScam.  He’s rabidly anti-choice. He opposed raises to minimum wage for workers. And his environmental record is dismal.

The National Rifle Association gives him an A rating.

 NO on the Heartbeat Protection Act (HR 490)

First, let’s talk about this 11 year-old girl who’s been worried about the Flint water situation since she’s been 9. Along with playing piano, swimming, fencing and taking dance lessons, she has invented the cheapest, most effective test for lead in water and won “America’s Top Young Scientist”. God, what was I doing when I was 11?

Michael Williams, Director of Grey Law of Ventura County will speak of the dangers to citizens currently on Medicare and Medi-Cal if the proposed changes to Obamacare are implemented.
Héctor Hernández-Delgado, Staff Attorney for National Health Law Program will give us an overview of our existing healthcare model, touching on single payer and legal implications/ramifications.
