MEDICARE FOR ALL MARCH LA

SUNDAY, JULY 23 @ 11:00 AM2:00 PM

EVENT NAVIGATION

Healthy California Pride

With the repeal of the flawed and partially defunded ACA on the horizon, and the abhorrent plans to replace it with something that is not care, but a tax cut for the wealthy, it’s time to let Congress know we wish to have health care for all people like all other modern industrialized nations.

It’s very likely that they won’t make a decision on #Trumpcare until the end of session in Congress, which is why we need to make our voices heard across the country to tell our elected officials that the option is Medicare for all in the U.S. and more specifically, CA.

Let us also send a message to California Speaker Anthony Rendon —> stop blocking healthcare for all & let the Assembly VOTE on SB 562 – the single-payer health care bill!

We will be meeting at

Let’s join other cities in committing to 100% renewable energy by 2030!

The Feds have dropped the ball on fighting climate change. Our President just took us out of the Paris Climate Accord and our government is now festering with science-deniers.

It’s time for us to step up to fill the gap with local action!

The City of Ventura created a great Environmental report in 2012: http://www.ca-ilg.org/sites/main/files/file-attachments/draft-environmental-strategy-v_1_9-mw1.pdf.

But let’s ask them to go further than 20% renewable energy by 2020!

Let’s join Santa Barbara and 29 other cities who are committing to 100% renewable energy by 2030.  Here’s the docs from the City of Santa Barbara we can use as a guide. https://tinyurl.com/ybugka62, https://tinyurl.com/yckav3mt, & https://tinyurl.com/y7g2hjjf.
