Support Adam Schiff’s call for Nunes to Step Down – Call your Senators!

The Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Rep. Nunes, is himself a member of the transition team being investigated for collusion with Russia. He’s misdirected attention and dismissed evidence, despite the FBI’s assertions to the contrary. He’s improperly briefed Trump and has met with secret sources.

This is what corruption looks like. It’s time for him to step down.

Vote NO on Jay Clayton for SEC Chair – how many Wall Street loyalists do we want in this administration?

How many Wall Street loyalists do we want in this administration? As Elizabeth Warren points out, Jay Clayton spent decades getting Wall Street banks off the hook and is married to a Goldman Sachs broker.

Now, Trump has nominated him to chair the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). He is, quite literally, married to the industry that he is being tasked to regulate.

Demand an Independent Commission on Russia – Call our Representative! (2 of 2)

On Monday, FBI Director James Comey confirmed they have been investigating ties between Trump’s campaign and Russia since July of 2016. Despite this bombshell, the House Intelligence Committee focused instead on leaks to the press.

This investigation cannot move forward with partisan politics. A 9/11-style special commission into Russia’s interference is required.

Delay Vote on Gorsuch before Russia Probe – Call our Senators! (1 0f 2)

On Monday, FBI Director James Comey confirmed that they’ve been investigating ties between Trump’s campaign and Russia since July of 2016.

We cannot allow Trump to make a lifetime appointment to the Supreme Court until we are confident that Russia did not tamper with our election. Our senators must filibuster Gorsuch until the Russian investigation is completed.

Urge No on Disastrous Trumpcare Bill – Call our Senators!

The Congressional Budget Office says that by 2026, Trumpcare will cause 24 million people to lose their health insurance.

Script: Hi, I am calling to ask Senator ____ to vote against Trumpcare. I am alarmed at what it will take away from average Americans like myself, in terms of healthcare, and what it will give to wealthy Americans in terms of tax cuts. I have done my homework and read the non-partisan reports issued by both the CBO and the Joint Committee on Taxation. The repeal will take away health coverage from millions and will be especially detrimental to the elderly, and the poorest of Americans.

Highlights of the CBO report on Trumpcare include 1) 14 million people losing coverage by 2018, 2) 24 million people losing coverage by 2026, 3) A 64 year old making $26,500 a year being asked to pay $12,000 for health insurance. Trumpcare includes $592 billion in tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans. Trumpcare is not health care, it is wealth care.

Say No to Supreme Court Hearings until Trump/Russia Criminal Probe is Completed

The investigation should be via independent commission with a special prosecutor. Trump should not be permitted to appoint Supreme Court justices (who could be on the court for generations) until the American people learn the truth about his legitimacy as a president.

I’m calling to urge Senator Feinstein/Harris ] to block any Supreme Court Hearings until both a Special Prosecutor and the FBI completes their investigations into the Russian financing of Trump’s campaign and the foreign hacking of an American political party.

Demand that Congress investigate Trump’s ties with Russia and potential Russian interference in the election before conducting any hearings on Supreme Court nominees. The investigation should be via independent commission with a special prosecutor. Trump should not be permitted to appoint Supreme Court justices (who could be on the court for generations) until the American people learn the truth about his legitimacy as a president. Thanks to the way the Republicans handled the Merrick Garland nomination, there is precedent to justify delaying hearings for a year or more.
