Trump’s proposed 18% budget cuts to the National Institute of Health (NIH) will impact research for cancer, Alzheimer’s, Ebola and Zika vaccines and HIV/AIDS. 90% of the NIH budget is focused on research and is so important, that Congress recently voted them a raise. Vice-President Joe Biden said, “This would set.. biomedical research, back 15 years.”

Methane’s impact on climate change is 25 times greater than that of carbon dioxide. The GOP wants to rescind an Obama-era regulation that cracks down on methane leaks, and that bans the burning off of excess methane during natural gas drilling. H.J. Res 36 is bad for the environment and wasteful of our country’s natural gas resources.

The Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Rep. Nunes, is himself a member of the transition team being investigated for collusion with Russia. He’s misdirected attention and dismissed evidence, despite the FBI’s assertions to the contrary. He’s improperly briefed Trump and has met with secret sources.
This is what corruption looks like. It’s time for him to step down.

Georgia Gov. The new rules and regulations mandated by HR 1430 are not compatible with peer-reviewed science, and add red tape that compromises the ability of the EPA to protect our air and water. Republican lawmakers have no business telling scientists at the EPA how to do their jobs.
