Methane’s impact on climate change is 25 times greater than that of carbon dioxide. The GOP wants to rescind an Obama-era regulation that cracks down on methane leaks, and that bans the burning off of excess methane during natural gas drilling. H.J. Res 36 is bad for the environment and wasteful of our country’s natural gas resources.
Call Senators Feinstein and Harris!
Script: I’m calling from (ZIP) to ask Senator (Feinstein/Harris) to vote “NO” on H.J. Res 36. Fight for our right to clean air and environmentally sound management of greenhouse gases.

More Info: The window for Republicans to roll back Obama-era rules is closing. Since the start of the new Congress, Republicans have used the 1996 Congressional Review Act to repeal 13 regulations; of those, President Trump has signed eight into law. Congress has about five weeks to vote on the remaining regulations introduced for repeal. One of many, Res 36, is especially dangerous – we must not let it pass.
