We respect science and would prefer to hang with other nations that do so too. In fact, lots of your best scientists will probably be relocating to Europe soon. We ourselves would be happy to offer asylum to the well-trained doctors your states chase out with abortion bans. Abortion has been legal here since 1975.

The Community Autonomy, Rights, and Equality (CARE) Policy which will be heard at the Ventura City Council on Tuesday, March 18th. (Agenda) This is an important democratic-values issue, and Oxnard, Simi, TO, and Santa Barbara will all be watching to see how it plays out.

ACTION:

We need to make our Democrat-endorsed councilmembers aware of our expectations BEFORE THE MEETING!
- Contact your city council member with the email in the chart below and tell them you want them to vote “YES” on Item #15. For the ones marked “D”, you can use the word “democratic values” somewhere in your message. For the others, remind them that there are vulnerable people in their district and they are responsible for representing them as well.

Don’t waste your stamps on the “Ides of Trump” campaign again!

People are starting to gear up again for an “Ides of Trump” action, where we’re all supposed to send postcards to 47 to express our anger and disappointment.

Please! No! Been there, did that, in 2017 during his first administration! All of our cards, millions of them, ended up in a warehouse somewhere, like that crate in the last scene of Raiders of the Lost Ark, never read and never seen again.

Seriously, even if Trump had asked to read some of them for the hell of it, the tears of their enemies makes dictators happier, not repentant.

There are a lot of boycotts happening. Don’t forget this one…

Please overlay the Peoples Union boycotts with the 40-day Lenten Fast from Corporations: A Call to Spiritual Resistance.(targetfast.org), from March 5-April 17.

It’s time for all of us to step up and do these actions. No one will hit us with clubs, spray us with fire hoses, set dogs on us, or in the case of the 1963 Jackson, Mississippi lunch counter protest, cover us with condiments.

Along with all the one-week actions, all anyone has to do is NOT SHOP AT TARGET again until after April 17th. 40 days is long enough to make a serious impression on Target, if WE DO IT!

Our header always asks what you would have done during slavery, the Holocaust, and the Civil Rights movement.

If you are a White person, here’s a chance to answer that question. Just a handful of White people helped with the Montgomery Bus Boycott. Same for the lunch counter sit-ins. Here’s an opportunity to tell MLK’s ghost that White people have FINALLY stood up for their Black and Brown neighbors against corporate racism, from DAY 1! Follow their call to boycott!
