(Awesome protester and sign at the Stop Kavanaugh protest rally yesterday.)
Making a fuss makes a difference. Just look what happened in Georgia.
Action #1 – Your latest Kava-naw action
(Note: if you haven’t called your senators about Kavanaugh’s nomination yet, go here, here, here or here for scripts. And if you have called, call again. We need to swamp the call numbers!)
Due to recent revelations that have implicated Trump in federal crime, all ten Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee have called for a postponement of the Kavanaugh hearings that were set to begin on September 4th. Instead, they are asking Chairman Grassley to hold a special meeting “to discuss a bipartisan, fair, and transparent process for moving forward.”
Call: Call the Senate Judiciary Committee at (202) 224-5225. Minimal Script: I’m calling from [zip code] and I want the Senate Judiciary Committee to postpose the Kavanaugh hearing until our president is cleared of committing federal crimes.
Send two postcards:
Send one to Senator Grassley’s office to ask him to postpone the hearing until we know whether or not our president is a criminal.
Mailing address: 135 Hart Senate Office Building Washington, D.C. 20510
Send another to:
The Senate Judiciary Committee.

Action #2 – Tell another hotel to stop hosting hate groups.

“ACT for America is the country’s largest anti-Muslim hate group, and they work tirelessly to undermine Muslim communities and our allies. They support a broad racist, anti-Muslim, and White Nationalist agenda—not just the Muslim Ban, but a wall on the US-Mexico border, and the ending of DACA, too.
At their last national event back in June, ACT for America was joined by members of Identity Evropa and Vanguard America—the same groups involved in the deadly neo-Nazi riot in Charlottesville.
Now, ACT is planning their annual conference next weekend (October 2nd and 3rd)—at the Marriott in Arlington, VA.
Let’s ask Marriot hotels not to host this hate group for meetings of any kind

What happened in Charlottesville this last weekend should come as no surprise. This has been building up since the days of Trump’s hate-filled campaign.
It is profound that these marchers no longer felt a need to hide their faces.
It is profound that they felt powerful enough, that they felt tacitly supported enough at the highest levels of our government, to bring their message out openly, like the Nazi’s of darkest history.

But this is just one salvo in the continuing war on all our American values.
