Note: This information is from 2021, when he apparently was running for a seat in District 2.

What are your qualifications?

I’ve been politically involved since the age of 16, volunteering for local campaigns, managing voter registration programs and working for the California State Assembly Speakers’ Office of Member Services under Fabian Nunez and Karen Bass.

I’ve pointed out the lack of care and assistance in our medical system to local representatives and union leaders. I’ve also advocated the growth of small businesses in our agricultural communities

I will challenge what our City Council could not fix in the past two administrations with the help of the Democratic and Republican caucuses.

What is your top priority for District 2?

Supporting policies that prioritize building bridges between communities is my commitment. I’d like to assign a trust to each neighborhood and secure a budget for parks, city maintenance and streets repairs. I’d support safe routes for bike paths and a tourist and family friendly environment for a better economy and vacation rentals.

I’d also find a faster solution to improving our neighborhoods through community involvement and growth.

As your councilmember, I promise to work diligently with the city manager’s office and the city planning department to set a new direction and relationship between city employees and our residents.

What is your top priority for the city, and how do you plan to enact that policy?

Introducing Assembly Bill 1482 (Tenant Protection Act of 2019), Senate Bill 9 (on housing development) and SB10 (planning and zoning) to help protect and conserve the downtown historic district and new developments. I’d Initiate a statewide affordable housing nonprofit project here in Oxnard that would work with existing homeowners. I’d also bring more opportunity and growth to the city to secure residential investments for Oxnard families.

I’d advocate for social justice issues and support outreach to our African-American, Latino, Asian and LGBTQ communities. I’d help remove the stigma surrounding mental health and provide help to the city’s homeless population.

What’s the best thing about living in Oxnard?

I enjoy the beauty of what this agricultural community has to offer. I especially enjoy living and being surrounded by our beautiful golden coast, from our new bike paths to our wetlands like Ormond Beach and local beaches.

I love the selection of places to eat and dance and taking a weekend off to camp out at McGrath State Beach or Pacific Coast Highway. I appreciate the diversity of our communities, especially the military base, the essential workers and the service members that make sacrifices for our country.
