The Community Autonomy, Rights, and Equality (CARE) Policy which will be heard at the Ventura City Council on Tuesday, March 18th. (Agenda) This is an important democratic-values issue, and Oxnard, Simi, TO, and Santa Barbara will all be watching to see how it plays out.

ACTION:

We need to make our Democrat-endorsed councilmembers aware of our expectations BEFORE THE MEETING!
- Contact your city council member with the email in the chart below and tell them you want them to vote “YES” on Item #15. For the ones marked “D”, you can use the word “democratic values” somewhere in your message. For the others, remind them that there are vulnerable people in their district and they are responsible for representing them as well.

As one of the 40 million Americans who battle anxiety, I know firsthand the importance of having access to mental health care. And I also know how Republicans’ continued attacks threaten that care.
