Save the National Forensic Science Commission!

Submit a comment to the DOJ to save the National Forensic Science Commission (NCFS), which works to make forensic science an evidence-based, ethical, and valid tool in obtaining convictions and keeping innocent people out of jail. Sounds good, right? Yet Jeff Sessions is trying to kill the program, and only 186(!) comments have been filed in response so far.

Today’s Action Call – Julia Brownley: Trump and Russia (Action 2 of 4)

Special Prosecuter: Even if Sessions bows out gracefully, we can expect the GOP to remain resistant and untrustworthy in investigating one of their own. Therefore, 198 House Democrats and one House Republican are co-sponsoring HR 356, the “Protecting Our Democracy Act” to establish an independent, 12-member commission to fully examine Russian interference in the 2016 election.

Today’s Action Call – Dept. of Justice: Trump and Russia (Action 1 of 4)

Jeff Sessions: Request that Attorney General Jeff Sessions recuse himself from any investigations regarding dealings Trump and his cabinet may have had with Russia. Even if Sessions sincerely believes he can remain impartial, DoJ guidelines prevent any employee from being involved in investigations if they’ve had a personal or political relationship with the subject of the investigation.
