Don’t waste your stamps on the “Ides of Trump” campaign again!
People are starting to gear up again for an “Ides of Trump” action, where we’re all supposed to send postcards to 47 to express our anger and disappointment.
Please! No! Been there, did that, in 2017 during his first administration! All of our cards, millions of them, ended up in a warehouse somewhere, like that crate in the last scene of Raiders of the Lost Ark, never read and never seen again.
Seriously, even if Trump had asked to read some of them for the hell of it, the tears of their enemies makes dictators happier, not repentant.

Action #1: Write a postcard:
We suggest you use your postcards and ever more expensive stamps strategically. For example – thank Rep. Al Green for standing up for us. Then send another to your legislator to thank them for voting “NO” on censure for Green. Try one of the smaller offices to increase its visibility to staff.

If these ninnies are your spineless legislators, give them a hard time. This article actually says that “Green’s antics were viewed as “selfish” after (Democratic) party leaders made clear they wanted their members to act somberly during the address.”

The GOP isn’t handing out merit badges to Democrats for allowing them to destroy our nation without doing anything more than sitting quietly with sad faces.
The whole lot of them should have started chanting “NO CUTS TO MEDICAID!” right along with Al. If they all were kicked out, singing “We shall overcome” as they left, anybody who bothered watching Trump’s lowest-rated State of the Union speech would have seen a half-empty room, right after a strong message to the public about the GOP’s intended cuts to a critical program.
