Wed. 7/11: Three environmental actions

#1 – Ask our senators to join the push to finalize the Kigali amendment.

In 2016, the Obama administration helped negotiate the “Kigali amendment” to the Montreal protocol, a treaty agreement meant to phase out hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) around the world. HFCs, a greenhouse gas, are used mainly in refrigeration and air conditioning and are thousands of times more potent than carbon dioxide in warming the atmosphere. In the interests of American businesses who need to plan ahead for international requirements, a group of Republican senators has pushed Trump to let them approve the treaty.  The administration is stalling, probably because “Obama” and “environment”, but while the Senate GOP is heading in the right direction for whatever reason, let’s join in.

Minimal Script: I’m calling from [zip code] and I want Senator [___] to join in with the Republican senators who are telling President Trump that the Kigali amendment is good for American business.
