Last night, during Wednesday’s “College Country Night”, 12 people were shot to death in this place of laughter, fun, and long-term friendships. Our NRA-loving president crossed a red line today when he forced Sessions out and put a crony in charge of the Mueller investigation.

Action #2 – Thursday 11/8 – Procession at 10 am. for Sgt. Ron Helus, T.O. vigil information and more…

There will be a procession at 10 a.m. today for Sgt. Ron Helus, (Facebook post here)  who was shot and killed during last night’s tragedy at Borderline. He will be transported from Los Robles Hospital to the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s office in Ventura. The procession will travel down Lynn Road to U.S. 101. If you’re interested in witnessing the procession, please be advised that there will be intermittent road closures along the route.

Sgt. Helus was a 29-year veteran of the Ventura County Sheriff’s office. He leaves behind a wife and son, who will be in our thoughts (along with the families and friends of the other victims) in the days to come.

Morning Vigil: People are also gathering at 10:00 on the corner of Hillcrest & Lynn, on the lawn area by the mall.

Blood Drive: They are starting a blood drive at La Reina High School today-need donors. No appt. necessary. Starting at 10am – 2 pm. They may be specifically in need of O negative.
