The Rich Men Cometh for our Parks.

(From our own Jim Hines of the Sierra Club)
Greetings National Park Advocates:
“If you make it difficult for Americans to visit and enjoy the national parks, you will remove support for national parks, then we can allow coal mining, oil and gas drilling in national parks and allow private corporations to run what’s left of national parks for profit, that’s the American way”.
I never in my lifetime thought I would hear those words (said to me by an anti-federal lands member of congress back in June 2017)  or even think there would be a major proposal to do just that.
But the reality is, that proposal is here and the assault on America’s, YOUR national parks has begun. The Trump Administration is proposing a massive entrance fee increase to visit YOUR national parks, what a great way to discourage Americans from visiting and enjoying their national parks.
America’s national parks belong to ALL Americans and pricing people out of visiting their national parks is a national disgrace.
for America’s national parks,
The Trump administration’s Interior Department (led by Ryan Zinke) has proposed a massive fee increase for certain national parks.
The administration wants to gut funding for the National Park Service while simultaneously arguing that the parks need more funding; the difference is, they want visitors to bear the burden. If we can’t, they have other options knocking on their doors…

ACTION #1 – Deadline November 23.

Please make your voices of opposition heard by commenting here.

Tell Ryan Zinke that you want him to advocate for our parks, not agree to funding cuts. Share your posts with your crew!

Minimum Script: I calling from [zip code] and I want my legislators to tell Zinke that you strongly support our NPS system and believe it deserves adequate funding to keep our national parks accessible to all..
