SCRUB gives an unelected commission the power to gut environment, health, and workplace safety regulations.
The SCRUB Act (Searching for and Cutting Regulations that are Unnecessarily Burdensome), H.R. 998, would create an unelected commission with sweeping powers to strip our agencies of their ability to protect public health and safety and it would open the door to meddling by big business. This bill is one more effort by President Trump and the GOP Congress to dismantle vital protections for our workforce, our environment, and our health.
It gives an unelected commission the power to get rid of environment, health, and workplace safety protections.
