Trump will soon be able to remove special prosecutor Robert Mueller. When Congress starts its August recess on the 11th, Jeff Sessions could be asked to resign. Then,Trump puts in new AG, who takes the oath of office that day and fires Mueller.
McConnell can stop it by with one senator showing up each day to gavel the Senate into session and adjourn. (Just like he did to keep Obama from appointing Merrick Garland as a Supreme Court justice.)
