Action – Call Your Legislators!
Minimum script: Hi, I’m calling from [zip code] and I want [Senator/Congressman/woman _____] to demand an immediate investigation into the criminal actions of “Border Czar” Tom Homan, who was filmed taking a $50,000 bribe to give contracts to the undercover agents posing as contractors. Legal experts say it’s a crime for anyone to offer to improperly influence federal contracts for money, whether or not they are a public official, and whether or not they ever delivered on their promise.
And $50K is a lot of money! More than many Americans make in a year. So we want to know:
- Why isn’t he is in jail already?
- Where is our money? Did he surrender it back to the Treasury with interest?
- Did he declare this bribe on his taxes (fraud) or did he commit tax evasion as well?
