*A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*

California needs to Hold The Line against the attacks on our people, our communities and our institutions by the authoritarians in DC.

The Program
- 10:00 – 11:00:
- Arrival: sort ourselves into lines, hold up our signs. You choose the line, hard surface (RED) or beach (YELLOW) , where you’ll feel most comfortable. The two lines connects at the pier and we’ll extend it on either side as far as we have people. Bring a folding camp chair if you want to sit. No one has to stand if it’s uncomfortable. Restrooms are available nearby.
- Get your own “YES ON 50” button! Fill out five postcards right there on the beach and get a button.
- Creative “YES ON 50” sandcastle building! – Tag your photos to @50501VenturaCounty
- 11:00 – 11:10: Stand in silence. Lock arms or hold hands if you are able
- 11:10 – 12:00: Peaceful protest
- 11:30: Option to join protesters on Ash Street pedestrian bridge
- Afterwards, we have information at the bottom for interesting things to do nearby.
HOLD THE LINE action location and public restroom locations

PROMENADE LINE (RED):
Our “Hold the Line” action radiates out from the Ventura Pier. The RED line is the on beach Promenade, which has a hard, accessible surface. The beach on that side disappears fairly quickly and there’s a children’s play yard that we don’t want to interfere with.

BEACH LINE (YELLOW):
We switch to the beach on the other side of the pier (yellow line). The sand there is also an opportunity for a large-scale design project. The Ash St. Pedestrian Bridge starts very close to the end of the pier.

Public restrooms are marked on the route.
- Surfers Point
- Beach Parking Structure
- There are (4) restrooms attached to the State-owned parking lots
Parking
Ventura is at its narrowest between the hills and the ocean at California Street, which means that most parking places in our downtown area, whether in parking lots, parking garages, or the plentiful on-street spaces are within easy easy walking distance of the “Hold the Line” route. There is also street parking in the neighborhood near the city side of the Ash St. pedestrian bridge and on Sanjon Road.

Ventura Public Parking at the beach
The City provides public beach area parking at the following locations. Some marked with * have fees as noted:

- Ash Street parking area at the 101 freeway pedestrian overcrossing (downtown side)
